Computer Room

Our dedicated computer suite has five Windows 10 PCs that can be booked for individual hourly slots for free.

You must be a member of The Station Master’s House first (which is free), and abide by the computer use policy, which can be read here.

One computer workstation has electronic height adjustment for wheelchair users and The Station Master’s House has a lift between floors.

To book an free hourly slot simply message us using the “Contact” menu above, or call 01704 566992, or call into the House in person.

Printing is available at a charge, please discuss with the downstairs reception desk for current costs before printing. We cannot usually allow larger print jobs (over 20 pages) without prior arrangement.

You can also hire our computer suite for exclusive use on a chargeable basis (eg to run a class) for a cost of £20/hour. There is a UHD TV (with internet connectivity) in the room for those wanting to run classes with presentations.

IMPORTANT: Our computers include specialist software which resets them once a session is over. This means that data and files cannot be stored on the PC drives between restarts, but can be copied to a USB drive or SD card to take away before restarting the PC. (Inexpensive USB pendrives will be available for sale at the reception desk if needed.)

Currently the hourly slots are below (unless the room has been hired for exclusive use by a class). For some sessions someone will be on hand to help with basic computer use,
