The Stationmaster’s House is one of 24 designated ‘Warm Spaces’ in North Sefton. From 1st December we will be open every Thursday from 10am – 4pm as a ‘Warm Space.’ This will run every Thursday until the end of April 2023 (excluding 29th December). Dates are as follows:

December 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd

January 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th

February 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd

March 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th

April 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th

Everyone is welcome to come into our warm community hub and library. Use the library or our modern comfortable meeting rooms on the first floor. The space is fully accessible and there will be free hot drinks and biscuits available (including tea, coffee and soup) puzzle books and newspapers. TVs and computers are available to use for free in the upstairs space and of course don’t forget there’s free Wifi.

As an enhanced ‘Warm Space’ there will also be planned activities such as the 1 hour ‘Making Connections’ sessions on the following Thursdays: 8th and 15th December 2022, 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th January 2023. These are provided by Elizabeth Farrow, a local Psychotherapist working in mental health who provides training and wellbeing sessions.

These are “An opportunity to drop into a friendly informal small group of locals to share how you are feeling about things, have a brew and make connections.  We offer a brief check in, some mindfulness and activities to promote discussion to support health and well-being.  Come along, spread the word or bring a friend. “

There are 24 Warm Spaces across Birkdale, Southport, Ainsdale, Hillside and Formby. Between them they provide a ‘Warm Space’ service from Mondays to Saturdays inclusive. A list of these will be available in the library.
