Want to learn how to read Ordnance Survey symbols or how to plan your walks safely?
A free 2 hour map reading course with Charles Davis will be held at the library on Friday 21st July, 1-3 pm. This will be an enjoyable and informative afternoon and is open to library members as well as volunteers. Numbers are limited so there is a sign-up sheet in the library.
Participants need to bring a compass and a 1:50 map with them and if possible download copies of Ordnance survey publications ‘Map reading for beginners’ and ‘From the beginner to the advanced map reader.’
