His books include biographies of Frank Sinatra (2015), Simon and Garfunkel (2016) and Elvis Presley (2017). He has written extensively about Merseybeat. The Omnibus series about the Beatles at different stages of their career has also been successful and documents ‘The Beatles in Hamburg,’ ‘The Beatles in Liverpool’ and ‘The Beatles in America.’ Earlier biographies include Billy Fury, Lonnie Donegan and the Cavern Club DJ, Bob Wooler. His newest publication is a comprehensive biography of Bob Dylan ‘Outlaw Blues’, published in July 2020.
