Martyn Griffiths is to give a talk on historic images of Southport during 1860-1930. These images were unearthed whilst scanning glass negatives from the Atkinson collection. Some are of the Edwardian era including dress codes, holidays in the Isle of Man, Lakes and farm life. Some include the Birkdale Boys Camp for poor boys from Manchester 1880-1938. It is a unique collection of rare material. It will be a very interesting evening with many historic images to view so please come along and join us. The talk is to be held at the Birkdale Conservative Club Friday 18th October @7.30pm. Entrance charge is £5 on the door.
